WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.–PBC Credit Union here has unveiled a new name.
The credit union, founded 60 years ago to serve employees of Palm Beach County, Fla., is changing its name to Guardians Credit Union.
CEO John Deese said the new name follows surveys of staff and members.
“We feel the name Guardians Credit Union truly captures the spirit of our credit union and the foundation on which we were founded in 1953,” said Deese, noting the credit union has expanded its field of membership since it was founded. “I have to believe the founders of our credit union would be proud of our new direction and the fact that we recognize the important role they played as guardians of our community and our credit union.”
