LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Kentucky Telco Credit Union has dialed up a new name and brand identity. Effective this week, it is now known as Transcend Credit Union.
In a statement, the credit union said the newly reimagined brand is centered on its promise to elevate everyday banking experiences, and a more direct reflection of the differences the credit union makes in its members’ lives by helping them reach their financial goals.
“We found that the name ‘Kentucky Telco Credit Union’ resulted in some confusion about eligibility to become a member,” said CEO Richard Reese in a statement. “Anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in 25 nearby Kentucky counties can benefit from becoming a member at Transcend Credit Union. It’s imperative that our brand reflect that inclusiveness. What really sets us apart is our unparalleled commitment to providing exceptional service. Our members are at the forefront of everything we do, so we hope the residents of the communities we serve find our new look to be warm, friendly, helpful, and informational – just like the Transcend employees who help our members every day.”
To celebrate the launch of Transcend Credit Union, each of the CU’s eight branches will host open house festivities. Open house festivities will include light food and beverages, enter-to-win opportunities, and special promotions.
